I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 1981. More recently, I furthered my education by obtaining my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from A.T. Still University in 2010. Prior to relocating to the greater Seattle area in 2011, I was a founding partner in a physical therapy practice in Cincinnati since 1988.

Professionally, my clinical career has focused in the area of orthopedic physical therapy and sports medicine. I have also worked with companies on ergonomic programs to decrease work place injuries. I am committed to the profession of physical therapy and enjoy serving my profession as an active volunteer member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). In my current role I serve as Chair of the Government Affairs Committee for the Private Practice Section (PPS) of the APTA. I have also served as Director, Vice President and President of the PPS The highlight of my professional career came in May of 2008 when I provided congressional testimony, on behalf of the physical therapy profession, and our patients, about the impending cuts to the physician fee schedule for Medicare payments.
